The Shi Kefa Memorial is a national AAA-level tourist spot, a major historic and cultural site under provincial protection and a patriotism education base in Jiangsu province.
Jiang Zemin once said, “On the Plum Blossom Hill outside Yangzhou city lies the cenotaph of the national hero Shi Kefa. At the front of the cenotaph there is an couplet—‘when I see the plum blossom, I seem to see the tears shed for the disappearance of my home country; and when I see the moonlight, the old ministers can still feel the strength of the country', the couplet was a great inspiration and encouragement of people's love and esteem for their motherland.”
The environment around Shi Kefa Memorial is very pleasant, with ancient trees towering to the sky and flowers in full blossom the year round. The Plum Blossom Hill is just nearby. All make this memorial a garden-like one. |
